Shirlee Jane Rost, born on November 5, 1953, in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, peacefully passed away on January 10, 2024, at Alomere Health in Alexandria. She was a dedicated wife, a loving mother, grandmother and soon to be great grandmother.

Neil Steavenson, formerly of Villard, MN, passed away on Aug. 26, 2020 at age 60. His remains are interred at Lake Amelia Cemetery. Neil helped his mother run The Blue Duck Cafe in Villard. Neil was born with cognitive and learning disabilities that were left untreated by the public schools the 1960s, before the Education for All Handicapped Children Act was passed in 1975. Nevertheless, he worked most of his adult life at various jobs and learned to endure sometimes unkind peers mocking him. He also had some kind employers along the way.
