Each year the State of Connecticut is kind enough to drop the sales tax for a whole week to save us some money. Oh yeah, it's a huge windfall, we get just over 6% off anything under $100. Isn't that kind of the overlords that run this state? The sales tax free week runs from Sunday August 20th until Saturday August 26th.
A recent study claims to have the answer again. CT By the Numbers recently published the results of a study from America's Health Ranking the United Healthcare Foundation. The key results say in general, Americans are not getting enough sleep.
Candlewood Lake is a glorious place to be on a Saturday or Sunday during the summer. You get to look at the rolling hills, soak in the sun and relax. Or, if relaxing is not your jam, you can do some water sports or just bug out (my favorite).
