SPEEDY motorists were caught out by police as part of a mission to crack down on dangerous driving in the area. Colchester’s community policing team were out keeping an eye on the roads in Dedham and Ardleigh conducting speed surveys on Wednesday. It came after the parish councils raised concerns about resident safety in and around the roads. The average speed detected in Lamb Corner, which has a 30mph speed limit, was 27mph.
