Boy racer Pester-Johns, aged 20, was handed a community order for robbing a taxi driver and mugging a lone woman last November. He went on to burgle a garage and steal motorcycles in at least three raids on homes in early March.

Stephen Ready, of Lancaster Gardens, Whitleigh, was arrested by police earlier this week following the incident at the Platinum Car Sales business in Ham Drive shortly after 1.20am on December 9 last year. Fire crews from Crownhill, Camels Head and Greenbank were sent to the scene and found a number of vehicles alight. Examination of the scene by fire investigators determined the blaze was deliberately started.
