Atlanta Hawks general manager Landry Fields says Quin Snyder was the only candidate he interviewed after firing Nate McMillan last week. Snyder, the former Utah Jazz coach, was introduced Monday as Atlanta's coach. Fields says Snyder checked every box in the interview process and showed he was the right fit for the job. Snyder will make his Atlanta debut on Tuesday night, when the Hawks play at home against Washington. Fields hopes the Hawks, currently eighth in the Eastern Conference, can finish the regular season strong and earn a playoff spot as one of the East's top six teams.
