A judge ruled the tribe's gaming hand, Kewadin Casinos Gaming Authority, has to pay $88.8 million to the New Boston and Lansing development companies.
Where plaintiffs invested in two casinos that were never built, the plaintiffs are entitled to a judgment in their favor after the defendant tribe was defaulted.
"The Sault Tribe is deeply concerned with what it has discovered in reading the Court’s opinion,” Sault Tribe Chairman Austin Lowes said.
