Fire west of Ottawa declared under control, evacuation order lifted
Five days after a fire broke out in the Greater Madawaska region surrounding Centennial Lake, authorities say it has been declared under control. An evacuation order for residents of the area surrounding the lake has now been lifted, but an open fire ban remains in place.
