Murphy: More Goals Needed Friday, 8th Mar 2013 14:41 Town may boast one of the Championship’s best defensive records in recent weeks but Daryl Murphy agrees there is room for improvement when it comes to scoring goals. Mick McCarthy’s team have conceded just four goals in their last seven games but they have also failed to score on the same number of occasions. They did net four times in last month’s home win over Middlesbrough but that was an isolated occasion and Town remain the Championship’s lowest-scoring team with just 35 goals scored in their 38 games to date. Murphy said: “We’ve not scored as many goals as we’d want. The back five have been fantastic and what was our weak point at one stage is now our strength, but it’s up to the strikers and the midfielders to chip in with a few goals. ....
