Shelby mom, children displaced after house fire Megan Brown was on her way to pick up her youngest daughter from preschool on Wednesday, March 31, when she got the devastating news. “My neighbor called me and said I hope you are not in the house because it is on fire,” said Brown. The mother of three hoped the call was an early April Fools’ Day joke, but as her neighbor began to livestream the fire online she saw her home engulfed in flames.
