Tax system is the way to go in america. the word progressive in the context of tax policy only means that the government imposes a higher percentage rate on taxpayers who make more money. this is not terribly controversial and widely accepted across the political spectrum. as our friends put it, a progressive tax system reduces the burden on the people who can least afford to pay. that leaves more money in the low wage earners pockets who are more likely to spend more money and stimulate the process. when you given a low income earner a dollar, they must use that dollar on essentials. grocery stores and retail shops and small businesses and doctors visits. it goes back into the economy and has an effect by generating tax locally. it pays for itself nicely. that is what the taxation system in the united states is supposed ....
