While some freshmen have already made the decision to spend their summer in State College (hopefully), some may still be on the fence about what to do. Registration for Penn State’s Learning Edge Academic Program (LEAP) opens on Monday, March 15. Although it has not totally been confirmed that LEAP will happen in person this year, Penn State has started planning to get students back in the classroom this fall, beginning with a phased return to normalcy this summer. . As per tradition, LEAP will take place over the course of Summer Session II, which will begin on June 28 and run until August 13. The program allows new freshmen to have an easy transition to college while giving them the chance to begin to build their Penn State friendships. Applications for the program are now live.
