At present there is not an immediate risk to homes and businesses but the level of rivers and streams are rising because of rainfall and melting snow. River levels have risen at the Newnham Bridge river gauge. This is causing flooding of roads and farmland. NINE flood alerts have been issued for several areas across Worcestershire with warnings of potential flooding of roads and low lying land. Hylton Road in Worcester will be closed tonight for the installation of flood pumps as river levels rise.
