CT inspector general issues first report on police shootings, in-custody prison deaths. All but one case of use of deadly force found justified.
All nine cases of use of deadly force involved law enforcement officers firing at or toward suspects. Three suspects died of gunshot wounds, four recovered after being shot and in two cases offices fired at vehicles to prevent suspects from driving them over, the Inspector General found.
