FRENCH LICK Judges from the American Spirits Council of Tasters have selected the Spirits of French Lick design work as a winner in the 2021 ASCOT Awards Marketing + Design Competition. Entries were evaluated at random through the lens of respected journalists and industry professionals and given scores to determine the category winners. Work is judged on its quality, creativity, and resourcefulness.
The Bottled in Bond Label Series of The Mattie Gladden and Lee W. Sinclair bourbons was selected as Double Platinum designation under the Label Design | Historical/Traditional category. Under the Tasting Competition category of Whiskey | Craft Bourbon, Spirits of French Lick won Platinum honors with The Mattie Gladden High Rye Bourbon and Lee W. Sinclair 4 Grain Bourbon Bottled in Bond. (FRENCH LICK) – Wall Street Journal Best Selling author and Bourbon authority, Fred Minnick, deemed Spirits of French Lick’s Lee W. Sinclair 4 Grain Bottled in Bond Bourbon as his top pick for Best Non-Kentucky Bourbon of 2020.
Spirits of French Lick released its Lee W. Sinclair Bottled in Bond in Summer 2020, in the midst of the pandemic. Having turned four years old this year, the plan was to hold a release party for both the Sinclair and their Bottled in Bond High Rye Bourbon, The Mattie Gladden. A statewide shutdown changed those plans, but Spirits of French Lick continued with their much-anticipated release and debuted their Lee W. Sinclair 4 Grain bourbon in July.
