추미애 전 법무부 장관이 이동재 전 채널A 기자의 무죄 판결을 두고 "수사와 재판도 검·언 유착스러웠다"며 개혁이 절실하다는 입장을 밝혔다. 한동훈 법무연수원 부원장(검사장)은 이를 '허황된 소리'라고 일축했다.
추 전 장관은 17일 자신의 소셜네트워크서비스(SNS)에 "사건 관련 거악인 내부조력자 한동훈 검사장에 대한 수사가 이뤄져야 하는데 검찰총장의 집요한 감찰과 수사 방해가 있었다"라며 "혐의 관련자들은 증거인멸을 했고, 수사팀은 지휘부 개입과 방해 등으로 혼선을 겪으며 증거확보 시기를 놓치고 말았다. 검찰은 한 검사장의 휴대전화 압수 후 비밀번호를 알지 못한다는 이유로 수사나 재판에 증거로 활용하지 않았다"고 주장했다.
이어 "이 전 기자가 음성파일을 이철 전 밸류인베스트코리아 대표의 대리인에게 들려주고 해당 목소리의 주인공이 한 검사장이라고 특정할 수 있을 정도로 부가 설명을 한 증거가 담겨 있다"면서 "(협박죄 구성 요건인) 해악의 고지가 심각했고 이 전 기자의 내부보고 등 조사보고서에도 중요 증거가 기록돼 있다"고 지적했다.
또 "그럼에도 이 전 기자 측 검찰 출신 전관 변호인이 증거를 부동의하고 진상조사보고서 작성자인 채널A 측이 법정 출석을 하지 않는 방법으로 주요 증거가 공소사실 증명에 쓰이지 못한 것"이라며 "그야말로 완벽한 검·언의 재판 방해다"고 밝혔다.
추 전 장관은 "검찰의 완벽한 수사 방해와 재판 방해로 진실이 이길 수 없는 한심한 작태는 처음부터 예견된 것"이라며 "이제 고위공직자범죄수사처(공수처)가 수사에 적극 나서야 한다"고 했다.

그는 "(채널 A사건) 수사와 재판은 추 전 장관이 역사상 두 번째 수사지휘권을 발동해 윤석열 전 검찰총장을 완전히 배제하고, 직접 고른 검사들을 시켜 보고받으며 재판까지 한 것"이라며 "무죄가 나니 '검·언의 재판방해'라는 새로운 버전의 허황된 소리를 하고 있다"고 했다.
이어 "허황된 소리를 주술처럼 맥락 없이 반복하면서 상식 있는 사람들을 마구 욕하고 권·언유착 공작 실패의 책임을 면하고 싶은 마음은 알겠다"며 "객관적으로 밝혀진, 모두가 아는 사실을 의도적으로 무시하고 딴 세상 사람처럼 말하다 보니 도대체 무슨 말을 하는 건지 알아들을 수 없는 부분이 많다"라고도 밝혔다.
한 검사장은 "국민들께서 이미 추 전 장관이 어떤 사람이고 어떻게 법치를 파괴했는지 말과 행동으로 다 보셨으니 황당한 말에 현혹될 리 없을 것이라 생각한다"고 덧붙였다.
