About the photographer: Joanne Coates is an award winning working class documentary storyteller who uses the medium of photography. She is based in the North of England and is a winner of the British Journal of Photography Portrait of Britain 2020 Awards. Joanne is interested in rurality, working life and class inequality and her work has been shown internationally and across the UK.
