A woman who thought she was going to the doctor for a cold but ended up with a horrible disease that forced her to get a double lung transplant and spend months on a ventilator has died.
Emily Presley, from Lexington, Kentucky, went to the doctor in May 2022 with cold-like symptoms but ended up on a ventilator and having a double lung transplant after she was found to have contracted a severe infection
“Emily’s radiance went such a long way and impacted people so deeply,” said her sister, Leslie Cunningham.
