On Tuesday, Adolfo Villalobos is scheduled for a status hearing in the 406th District Court. Villalobos was indicted in October 2016 for the death of Vicente De La Rosa and the assault of Lauro De La Rosa. On April 6, 2014, the Laredo Police Department said it responded to a report of a shooting at about 2:30 a.m. in the 2900 block of Chestnut Street, located off South Ejido Avenue. Police said they arrived at the scene and found one man dead in the front passenger seat of a sport utility vehicle. He was identified as Vicente De La Rosa. ....

He could be facing from 5-99 years in prison for the murder charge and 2-20 years in prison for the aggravated assault charge. As officers were en route, Lesther Julian Castro Jr. called police saying he and his friend had been shot at. Authorities identified his friend as Jose Jesus Martinez. ....
