The city of Amarillo's public health department reported an increase of 77 total COVID-19 cases in Potter and Randall counties from Monday in Tuesday’s COVID-19 report card. This brings the area's number of cases to 33,901 since the beginning of the pandemic.  Of the total, 360 are listed as active, which is an increase of 65 net active cases from Monday. Throughout the pandemic, the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment has been handing out citations to local businesses violating COVID-19 guidelines. Since our last update, on January 20, the agency has remained busy, ticketing and/or shutting down 65 enterprises, for a total of eighty enforcement actions so far in 2021.
