ONLINE book readings are just one of the things being offered under a new scheme to reduce isolation across Sandwell. The Libraries and Archive Service is launching a new Reading Friends project aimed at connecting people and reducing loneliness. Library services wants young people in Tenbury to try their hand at writing poetry

Worcestershire’s annual poetry competition has opened, inviting anyone aged 8 – 18 years to take part. Children and young people from across the county are invited to take part in the poetry competition by submitting two examples of their work.   Submissions will be judged in three age categories: 8 – 11, 12 – 15 and 16 – 18, with one winner from each. And of these three finalists, one young person will be awarded the title of Young Poet Laureate 2021.
