That was so funny. talk about their relationship, what we know about them. they did not stay together. they did not. they were together for 20 years, though. had two children. they were partners not only in life, but also in business, as i said, and you know, they did the lucy show for six years. the gribd of it sort of wore on them, wore on the relationship. they decided not to do the show anymore, and eventually they did divorce by 1960. i want to bring up a photo of lucy smoking a cigarette while sifting through rolls of photos. you guys there at life.com, you say this depicts who lucille ball was. actually, you know, it s so funny that you say that because it is a very different sort of look that we re than we re used to seeing. you know, we know the whacky lucy, but this is a sultry lucy back from before i love lucy. she s beautiful. she s so gorgeous. the look of determination, i think, in her eyes is so amazing. it s the determination that she took throughout her c ....
Television. though beautifully scripted we don t usually get in the jersey shores ever the world. i m just saying. don t you agree, there was something to that? it s interesting, because, really, lucille ball struggled for years to become a star. worked her way up through the chorus and then a contract player. it s interesting. there is that parallel with lucy ricardo desperate to end up in movies. i don t think lucille ball ever had to stomp grapes to get into the movies. she pretty much did everything else, and that was her philosophy. she used to say to young people, say you can do anything and then go out and learn how to do it. if they want you to ride a horse, you can ride a horse and then go learn. that can-do attitude. really did. thank you for speaking with us as well as life.com that provided some of the picture we were able to see. a good friend i know is part of that museum, say hello to paul o neill. thank you. and what does it mean for the markets and your money? ....
Joe, we were sitting around in the morning meeting thinks how is this possible? years and years, we ve seen all these pictures. how are there still pictures we have not seen? it s pretty simple, if you think about it life sent out a bunch of photographers, took a ton of pictures, hundreds if not thousands of these pictures never saw the light of day. so the magazine obviously has now gone away, but we still have life.com. frankly whenever there s a big anniversary or whatever, they go out to their warehouse, i think it s in new jersey, they dig out all the old pictures from the event and see what they ve got that they never published, then they put it up on life-com. they have a full gallery. some are pretty amazing. you sort of goods to see some of the pictures of camelot that got left on the editing room floor. do anything stand out to ....
