Indiana s State Board of Education gave its approval on Wednesday for Calumet College of St. Joseph in Whiting to authorize Thea Bowman Leadership Academy in Gary.
TBLA s authorizer, One Education at Trine University, cited staff turnover, declining academic performance and enrollment for not renewing the school s charter.
