July 2, 2021 by archyde There have now been over 350 new cases of the Delta variant since it was first sequenced in Norway in March. It is only a matter of time before it replaces the Alpha variant, which was first identified in the UK, as the dominant virus mutation in Norway, according to the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH). Almost 250 of the 353 confirmed cases of the Delta variant had been recorded in the last four weeks.
