Corrupt 'ghost trains' syndicate involving Transnet staff and accomplices nets R50m in kickbacks
On December 12 last year, four freight trains belonging to Transnet were dispatched from rail yards to Mpumalanga coal mines belonging to Exxaro and Glencore to collect coal destined for the port of Richards Bay, en route to an export destination.
