Joseph H. Crabtree 1943 - 2021 Joseph H. Crabtree passed away suddenly on Monday, January 18, 2021, in Tampa, Florida, of COVID-19 pneumonia. He was 77 years old. Joe was born to Joseph and Margaret Crabtree on December 30, 1943, in Trenton, New Jersey. He had a happy childhood growing up in Follansbee, West Virginia. Joe attended The Linsly School in Wheeling, West Virginia, where he played football, basketball and ran track. From STAFF REPORTS The student winners from the Project on Racism Contest and 37th Annual Poster Competition, sponsored by the Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs, includes several students from the Northern Panhandle. The Project on Racism Contest was presented by the Martin Luther King Jr. State Holiday Commission and the YWCA Wheeling. Jan 9, 2021 Wheeling Elks Lodge No. 28 has announced its Students of the Month for December and January. The December winners are Lily George and James Jin, both seniors at The Linsly School. For January, Lauren Marquart and Andrew Glass, both seniors at Wheeling Park High School, earned the honor. George, the daughter of Ronee and Edward George of Wheeling, is a Senior Prefect and the Academic Committee Head Chair. She is senior class president, and a two-year captain of the girls soccer team.
