Joby plans to build facility capable of delivering up to 500 eVTOL aircraft per year
“While Joby Aviation has announced plans to build its first scaled aircraft production facility in Dayton, Ohio, the company’s growth will continue to have a positive impact on our region, fueling technological innovation into clean energy transportation and the development of an industry sector," said Monterey Bay Economic Partnership
An important step forward in the development of flying taxis as a form of urban transportation is represented by the historic agreement between Ohio and Joby Aviation.
Joby Aviation will invest $500M, create 2,000 jobs at Dayton International Airport facility, deliver up to 500 eVTOL aircraft per year.
The investments include $4 million for a new meat-processing plant, $2.8 million for new streets and sewers and $82.4 million to update and expand an electric grid.
