Northumberland County Council launches second phase of grant scheme


Northumberland County Council has launched the second phase of its Business Resilience Grant Scheme today.
The scheme is aimed at companies which are liable for business rates, but have not already received Local Restrictions Support Grants, the Restart Grant or Additional Restrictions Grants.
Jan Willis, Executive Director of Finance at Northumberland County Council said: “The Business Resilience Grant has been extremely successful in supporting enterprises which were not eligible for the main Local Restrictions Support Grants.
“We have now launched a second phase of the scheme – providing further support for these businesses as restrictions begin to ease.
To date, Northumberland County Council has made more than 33,000 Covid-19 support grants totalling over £89 million. Applicants must be able to demonstrate their business has been severely impacted by Covid-19 restrictions. ....

Northumberland businesses to be able to apply to new grant


The second phase of a ‘successful’ grant scheme is set to be launched.
Northumberland County Council is preparing to launch the second phase of its Business Resilience Grant scheme, which is aimed at companies which are liable for business rates, but have not already received Local Restrictions Support Grants, the Restart Grant or Additional Restriction Grants.
The council has extended the BRG so that more mobile and home-based businesses can be supported, with the new grant is due to be launched in the opening weeks of May to replace phase one which closed for applications on Friday April 30.
