A fugitive wanted for killing a 32-year-old woman in Orland 33 years ago has been returned to Glenn County to face criminal charges, reported the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
On August 14, special agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Sacramento Field Office and Legal Attaché Office of Mexico City returned wanted fugitive Antonio Lopes Moreno, 67, to Glenn County to face felony homicide charges with special circumstances.
The suspect in a 1989 Glenn County murder was located in Mexico by law enforcement and returned to California on Monday, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
A warrant for Lopes Moreno’s arrest was issued on Oct. 16, 1989, the FBI office said.
Authorities have been searching for the murder suspect for more than 30 years.
