The University of Wisconsin System ordered an audit late last month into UW-Madisonâs bidding process for a large project just days before one of the companies not selected for the contract raised concerns and requested an investigation. UW-Madison sought a vendor last year to help phase in its Administrative Transformation Program, a massive, multiyear project that will move the universityâs administrative services, such as payroll, human resources and finance, to a more secure cloud-based system. Interim System President Tommy Thompson called the project âabsolutely criticalâ to modernize budget management on campuses. âHowever, itâs essential that at every step we soundly manage the project with full transparency and accountability,â he said in a Thursday statement announcing the commissioning of an independent review. ....

It was a feel good, exciting experience that carried over into state and national publications, with a special piece that culminated in a digital Inside Edition production. However, the top picture choice for 2020 came down to community, our children, and the extreme efforts of leadership in our school systems and I couldn t help awarding Pratt Tribune s top picture of 2020 to the poignent lineup at Libery Middle School of students ....
