A Likas rate-payer has received a RM100 compound for failing to licence his/ her dogs and allowing one of his/ her two pets to wander unsupervised in the common areas around Taman Setia.
A spokeswoman for City Hall’s Health and Environment Department said the penalty was imposed per the conditions stipulated in the agency’s Registration and Control of Dogs By Law 1963 (Amendment 2008).
“One of the homeowner’s canines was found on a housing road here on Tuesday,” she said. ....

A LIDO home-owner has been instructed to reduce the number of canines he/she is rearing.
A City Hall spokeswoman said the agency’s Animal Control Unit (ACU) found eight dogs inside the compound in Teck Guan Villa towards the end of April.
She said half of the pack were adults, while the rest were pups of between four to six months.

“We have told the rate-payer that he/ she can only rear two dogs at any one time and that these pets must be licenced,” she said. ....
