KICK OFF THE WEEK AT FLAIR 5: Head out to the beautiful terrace at Flair 5 for their new Laid Back Lunch deal. Relax in one of the cabana style areas, or grab a high table with a killer view of the DIFC skyscrapers. For Dh95 per person, guests are invited to enjoy a starter and main from the special menu which includes guacamole and chips, prawn croquettes, beef Cobb salad, or burrata with tomato salsa and pine nuts. Mains on the menu include; a Cuban frita burger with crispy potato, spicy chutney and smoked cheddar, Peri Peri chicken with corn and root chips, or glazed salmon with red miso, mushrooms and fried tempura. The offer can be upgraded to three courses for Dh125 in order to add dessert which consists of either cheesecake with mandarin sorbet, a strawberry and ginger ceviche, or an exotic fruit platter with iced fruit popsicles. The Laid Back Lunch is available weekdays between 12pm and 3pm.

You can now taste your way around eight homegrown food concepts at a pop-up market in One Central, Dubai World Trade Centre.
Organised by Brand Dubai, part of the Government of Dubai Media Office, this open-air market is called ‘Proudly from Dubai’. It is designed to showcase eight innovative food businesses that were born here in the UAE.
It’s a celebration of the cultural and culinary diversity we’re blessed with here in Dubai, offering everything from burgers to karak chai.
Proudly from Dubai is on now until February 25, and will be open daily from 8am to 8pm.

Dubai: Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), has launched a unique pop-up event featuring diverse cuisines from some of Dubai’s most-loved homegrown food outlets, in partnership with One Central, Dubai World Trade Centre.
The outdoor event showcases the unique concepts of eight innovative business from the ‘Proudly from Dubai’ network, an initiative launched by Brand Dubai to highlight the success stories of businesses born and initiated in Dubai. The month-long event is being held at the Outdoor Plaza next to DWTC One Central Building 5, from January 17 to February 25.
The event shines the spotlight on the diverse cuisines and culinary creativity of eight Dubai-born outlets, including: 25’55’; Coppasta; Semisweet; Tres Marias Coffee Company; The Mattar Farm Kitchen; Simple; Lost Bread; and Karak Inc. Visitors can savour a range of delectable food and beverages at the venue set against the backdrop of Dubai’s skyscrapers.

Philadelphia, PA — Fire up the smoker! FCM Hospitality and owner Avram Hornik announce the reopening of one of Philadelphia’s largest restaurant and brewery starting this weekend.
Craft Hall, Mainstay Independent Brewing and Lost Bread Co. is officially back on the Waterfront at 901 N. Delaware Avenue starting Thursday, January 14th with outdoor dining, take-out and delivery, and starting Saturday, January 16th with expansive indoor dining.
As restaurants adapt their operations to survive the pandemic, look for Craft Hall to pivot and turn the menu focus to BBQ, smoked meats and hearty pizzas. Executive Chef Adam Iazarick and his team will put the 700 lb. smoker to full use in creating a menu that is delicious and hearty as the perfect mid-winter pandemic comfort food.
