After two days of restrictions, speed limits are back to normal on area highways.

UPDATE 3:30 p.m. Tuesday: PennDOT has lifted the speed limit restrictions that were in place on several roadways in the region.
Due to the winter storm impacting the region, speed limits were reduced this morning to 45 MPH. 
All speeds are restored to their usual posted limits.

The entire length of Interstate 84 in Lackawanna, Wayne and Pike counties will be placed on a 45 MPH speed restriction and a commercial vehicle right lane only restriction. The Tier 1 restriction has been lifted. ....
