The City Council also adopted the city’s first-ever “microblight” study for the condemned Elms Lodge and Sherbeck Apartments block and approved microTIF incentives to start rehabilitating it for apartments.
Relocation and reconstruction of North Platte's skate park was the smallest of three recreation projects voters endorsed by approving a temporary half-cent city sales tax increase in November 2022.
Several North Platte City Council members grilled The Connection's executive director, Ashley Lewis, about its low-income apartment project's expected residents and programs. They approved R-3 zoning for the site, 6-1.
