The idea came from Woman’s Life Chapter 911’s president, Lynn Karnes, who has always had a special connection with Barbie.

The charitable group is looking for some help from Shelby Township and Utica residents in addition to residents of surrounding communities to meet a goal of 109 Barbies and books. Lynn Karnes, the Woman’s Life Chapter 911 president, said that in honor of her birthday and Barbie’s birthday, she decided to collect Barbies to donate to Macomb Foster Closet.

Another “Shamrocks and Shenanigans” theme to the road rally is just around the corner and will include new clues, new photos and a new time. The group’s most recent road rally took place in October and had a Halloween theme.
