Lyons Bettorday sat patiently along the pylons and roared to victory in the Mares Winners Over/Select Pace at Bally’s Dover on Wednesday (Feb. 14) night.

A hefty field of eleven sophomore pacing fillies went to the gate in the $199,900 Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Leg 2 at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Tuesday (July 18) evening and One Last Wish dominated the class.

Tony Beaton can say he's been in the winner's circle as part of a team that campaigned a Pepsi North America Cup champion, but a win in the 2023 edition would be much sweeter.

In addition to the Pepsi North America Cup eliminations, Woodbine Mohawk Park will be hosting stakes eliminations for the Fan Hanover, Roses Are Red, Goodtimes and Armbro Flight this weekend with finals set for the Cup undercard on Saturday, June 17.

After starting her sophomore campaign with four straight runner-up finishes, Lyons Bettorday had her best race day yet on Friday, winning the season's first Ontario Sires Stakes Gold division for three-year-old pacing fillies at Woodbine Mohawk Park in a new mark of 1:49.4.
