This year’s 2A state volleyball tournament was essentially just a formality as top-seeded Parowan defeated No. 2 seed Kanab in four sets in Saturday’s championship match to remain undefeated on the year and win the state championship. “I’m just so impressed by this group of girls,” Parowan head coach Macey Yardley said. The contest was the fourth meeting between the two schools this season, with each match going Parowan’s way and only two sets in all going to Kanab.
After stumbling in the second set, No. 4 North Summit earned a spot in the 2A semifinals after a 25-11, 20-25, 25-18, and 25-20 victory over No. 5 St. Joseph. St. Joseph had that really good outside hitter that was kind of working us, but we did what we needed to get by.

In a pivotal Region 11 clash, Sky View (13-1) outperformed the Green Canyon Wolves (13-2) in three straight sets, securing a 3-0 victory, 25-19, 25-22, 25-16. Leading the way for the Bobcats, Ryen Smith impressed with 13 kills and a .429 hitting efficiency, along with three blocks. Brynn Hart contributed significantly with 27 assists, orchestrating the team’s offense efficiently.
