The much-awaited grand opening of Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Rockford is May 29. The park will be introducing an exclusive new attraction. In just a couple of weeks, we will finally get to see the beginnings of Six Flags vision for the former Magic Waters Waterpark. I've been hearing lots of talk about the many changes we will see at Hurricane Harbor right away. What is likely to steal the spotlight away from many of the cosmetic changes at the new Hurricane harbor, is the brand new waterslide they built while we were wearing our winter coats. The other day I was approaching the I-90/E. State Street ramp as I do multiple times a week and it still looks weird.
