It seems only fitting that a Standardbred who overcame significant odds to simply survive his entry into the world, should spend the latter part of his life helping others who also face challenges.

Magical Albert, the subject of two books chronicling his miraculous journey through life as a foal born premature through emergency Caesarian section, has been retired by his connections.

After a year attempting to regain his best stride, the nine-year-old Mach Three gelding Sintra returned to once-familiar territory and took the $30,000 Preferred 2 Pace at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday night (Dec. 3). 

The four-year-old Bettors Delight gelding Twin B Powerball pushed from a pocket trip to a 1:53 win in the $13,000 Preferred Pace at Flamboro Downs on Wednesday night (Nov. 9).

P C Free Wheeling put forth an apt performance to her name with a coast-to-coast show of force to win the $22,200 Autumn Series Final for two- and three-year-old trotting fillies on Tuesday (Oct. 26) at The Raceway at Western Fair District.
