Workshop on Developing Covid Helper Skills conducted by NSS, 2 J&K girls Bn of GCW Gandhinagar

The focus of this Virtual Interactive Session was to provide guidance for developing Covid Helper Skills.
Ajay from MGNCRE, the Resource person of the session, explained the various methods to acquire skills of a Covid Helper in an interesting and interactive manner. He also apprised the participants about psycho-social techniques to help Covid patients to win over their stress and anxiety.
Dr. Sangita Nagari, the Principal of the College applauded the enthusiastic gathering for their active participation. She added that all the skills acquired by students in this workshop will definitely be applied by them in their local community to curb the menace of Covid 19.

12 institutes from Bihar selected for central government's green awards

PATNA: The Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education of the Union Ministry of Education has announced the "One District - One Green Champion" awards for 2020-21 to 400 higher educational institutions of country, included 12 from Bihar under the Swacchatha Action Plan.
According to official announcement, the 12 higher educational institutions selected for the prestigious "One District-One Green Champion Awards" are St. Xavier's College of Management and Technology from Patna and other institutions from Begusarai, Darbhanga, Gaya, Purnia, Bhagalpur, Nalanda, Sitamarhi, Gopalganj, East Champaran, Khagaria, Gopalganj and Madhubani.
This award is given for the contribution of selected higher educational institutions to the Swachhtha Education and Practices. This time for this prestigious award, 1000 higher educational institutions from across the country had participated, out of which only 400 were screened eligible fro this wards.

The students’ counselling cell of the Government College for Girls, here, organised an interactive webinar on ‘Mental health issues during Covid times’. Nisha Phakey, a clinical psychologist was the resource person. Phakey asked students to stick to a daily routine and engage in physical exercise to alleviate stress. Dr Rajiv Kumar Sehgal, teacher and in charge of the students’ counselling cell in his opening remarks stressed upon boosting psychological immunity during these challenging times. TNS

The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour by following COVID-19 norms in legislative bodies, government offices and institutions as also by political parties across the State on Tuesday.
In the Legislative Assembly, Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy hoisted the national flag. Speaking on the occasion, he thanked the scientific community for finding vaccine against COVID-19 and it was a moment of pride for the people of Telangana as one of the vaccines was developed and is being made in Hyderabad.

SRINAGAR: The Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE) and the University of Kashmir jointly organised on Sunday an online workshop to raise awareness on the importance of introducing rural management courses and programmes in the J&K and Ladakh Union Territories.

The day-long workshop was organised in collaboration with the varsity’s School of Business Studies (SoBS).
