PETALING JAYA: Malayan Banking Bhd’s (Maybank) Indonesian operations in its recent results saw a contraction in its net interest margin (NIM) on a sequential basis.
PETALING JAYA: After a long hiatus, foreign investors appear to have returned to the Malaysian market as they have turned net buyers of Malaysian stocks, snapping up over RM1bil worth of shares so far this year after shunning local equities for the most part of 2021.
PETALING JAYA: The outlook for the Malaysian banking sector for 2022 is stable as economic activities are expected to return to pre-pandemic levels, leading to more jobs and higher wages.
