What you need to know about new Richmond County eSchool

Richmond County Board of Education provided more details on its new virtual learning program Monday ahead of the application deadline on Friday, May 28.
eSchool will allow students in grades 6-12 to be full-time virtual students while still learning the Georgia standard of curriculum.
The program will have its own staffing and will be based on student enrollment. Its currently capped at 1,400 students. Staffing would include 45 teachers, three administrators, two counselors and other support staff at a cost of approximately $5.5 million per year to be funded by the American Rescue Plan for the next three years. After 2023-2024, it will be funded through base allocations.
