Tabish Khan’s 18-year long wait for an international cap came to an end as he was handed a Test debut in the second Test match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe. The veteran fast bowler became the third oldest Test debutant for Pakistan and is the 245th player to represent the country in Test cricket.

During his 18-year first-class career, Tabish picked up 598 scalps, the most by any player before a Test debut for an Asian team. Previously, Sri Lankan fast bowler, Malinda Pushpakumara had taken 558 wickets before making his international debut against India in 2017.
