On Patrol Longboat Key – Week ending December 4, 2020 The following are actual police reports as written by Longboat Key Police Officers. They are edited for length, punctuation and to protect privacy. Nov. 29 Battery Officer Puccio was dispatched to a condominium in reference to a battery at the location. Upon arrival, Officer Puccio and Officer Tillman made contact with the vitim who related that she had met the offender the previous night in downtown Sarasota when they departed together and proceeded to his residence. The victim related that while at the residence they were drinking and then had fallen asleep. The victim stated that it was approximately 4 a.m. when she attempted to awaken him to have him give her a ride home. The victim related that she was having a hard time trying to keep him awake, as he refused to accommodate her request and became very agitated and began using profanity against her.
