The Sauk, Hillsdale County’s community theater, has won the state level AACTFest competition with their production of "Desert Song."

The Sauk is one of two theatres that will compete in the Michigan AACTFest on Saturday, March 18.

The Sauk will present their first ever 24-Hour Theatre Project June 11 and 12 with a public performance at 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 12.

Sauk Shorts, a celebration of short plays, each tell a complete story in 8-15 minutes. The annual Sauk tradition starts at 8 p.m. tonight, April 29, as a "Pay What You Can" preview. Other performances are at 8 p.m. April 30 and May 1 and at 3 p.m. May 2. All performances take place at The Sauk Theatre, 240 E. Chicago St., Jonesville. The show is sponsored by Sandi Miller. Hillsdale Daily News A cross country road trip explores the legacy we leave behind as The Sauk, Hillsdale County’s community theatre, opens their 2021 Sauk Seconds season with Tina Howe’s “Approaching Zanzibar.” The show features a cast of Sauk veterans with performances April 15-18.
