CHILLICOTHE- For Owl's Nest Garden Farm, a small-scale flower farm in Piketon, the pandemic was devastating. "The majority of my customers are florists - I sell primarily wholesale to florist businesses and they all closed down," said owner Adrianne Roach. "I had no place to sell my flowers except for the farmers market, and in the beginning, flowers weren't even allowed to be sold at the farmers market." While Roach says she is still "hanging on by her fingernails," Roach managed to turn a profit in 2020, she says. "When the end numbers came in, it was a near thing but we barely hung on," she said.
