Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections: Around 40,000 tribals in poll-bound Chitrakoot are living under constant fear of becoming homeless as the forest department has slapped them with eviction notices since late 2021. These tribes are also demanding to be recognised as a Scheduled Tribe (ST) in Uttar Pradesh.
