A Yorkshire terrier puppy was stolen from Pet Paradise on Pueblo Boulevard Saturday and police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the two suspects. The stolen puppy is a male, black and tan in color. Police said the two suspects, a male and a female, were seen on surveillance video unscrewing the front cage of the puppy’s enclosure and “physically taking the puppy from his brothers and sisters," according to a release. DENVER — A Pueblo man who was sentenced Thursday to 34 months in federal prison said his history of crime "has to do with (his) drug addiction" and alcohol abuse. Kenneth Lawrence Baca was sentenced in Denver at the U.S. District Court for Colorado for having a gun after being convicted of a felony. Court records show he had at least three felony convictions in Pueblo District Court in 2000, 2005 and 2009. The crimes were second-degree assault with a deadly weapon, criminal mischief and identify theft.
