Less than two weeks after Bourne Police Chief Dennis R. Woodsideâs last official day in office, Paul J. Shastany, former chief of police in Braintree and Stoughton, has been appointed to serve as interim police chief in Bourne. Bourne Town Administrator Anthony E. Schiavi announced the appointment during the Bourne Board of Selectmenâs remote meeting on Tuesday, January 19. Chief Shastany was brought out of retirement to serve as interim chief in Bourne.
