This mod is an expansion to the old 2012 mod called Festung Breslau. Originally based on the eastern front of WW2 with Poland, Germany and Russia the mod has been expanded and placed at a later date. The US has joined the war and Japan is joining soon. Besides the US another faction has entered thus replacing the polish partisans. The Escaped POWs containing polish, French, English and American soldiers can be used as their own faction. The german AI has also been replaced by zombies. When fighting the zombies I would suggest playing as the escaped POWs to make it more difficult. ....

A group of Nepalese Sherpas has made a historic first winter ascent of the world’s second-highest mountain.
Former Gurkha Nimsdai Purja was among 10 men who successfully summited K2 at 5pm local time on Saturday.
The 8,610m (28,250ft) Karakorum peak on the Pakistan-China border has been dubbed ‘the savage mountain’ because of the numerous mountaineering casualties and deaths that have occurred on it. It had never before been summited during winter.
Former Special Boat Service member Nimsdai is an ambassador for gear brand Osprey and was supported in the expedition by the company. He teamed up with two other groups, led by Mingma Gyalje Sherpa and Sona Sherpa for the climb. ....

CGG Satellite Mapping Completes Barents Sea Seeps Study

CGG’s Satellite Mapping group recently completed an innovative high-resolution hydrocarbon seeps study commissioned by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD). The aim of the study was to increase petroleum system knowledge across a relatively data-poor area of the northern Barents Sea.
CGG Satellite Mapping has over 25 years of experience in the detection and characterization of offshore seeps and slicks based on its expert remote sensing processing and analysis of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite imagery. To meet the requirements of the study, CGG Satellite Mapping custom-tasked next-generation SAR satellites to acquire a large collection of high-spatial-resolution SAR imagery at a high revisit frequency. Subsequent advanced processing and analysis by its experts identified the presence of small-scale naturally occurring seepage slick features, unlocking valuable subsurface intelligence. ....
