Landmark opioid case against Springboro firm continues two years later

A federal lawsuit accusing a Springboro company and several West Virginia pharmacies of fueling the opioid crisis continues nearly two years later, after COVID disruptions and several attempts by the defendants to have the case dismissed.
The trial is currently scheduled for January 2022.
The conspiracy charge against Springboro pharmaceutical distributor Miami-Luken is a landmark case because it was the second opioid distributor to be charged with a felony in connection to the public health crisis. ....
